Founded in 1991 by Steven J. Green, former United States Ambassador to Singapore, the Green Family Foundation (GFF) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting social programs that positively impact global health and alleviate poverty.
The Green Family Foundation’s mission is to make a positive and meaningful impact in communities both at home and abroad. We provide funding and resources to organizations that support education, global health and community development. GFF empowers under-served communities to fight the cycle of extreme poverty, leading to sustainable programs that improve lives.
GFF supports grassroots initiatives that focus on prevention, education and treatment. The foundation empowers communities through grants that enable progressive organizations to help build self-reliance. Today, Kimberly Green, president, continues to advance her family’s vision. That vision is exemplified by the values outlined below:
Integrity
GFF is committed to working with nonprofit agencies and community leaders on projects that engage and empower under-served communities. These projects must involve the people it seeks to benefit without imposing upon their dignity or rights.
Sustainability
The foundation looks for programs that show potential for and have developed long-term plans to sustain and expand their efforts by diversifying their donor base and seeking matching funds.
Innovation
GFF supports and encourages the development of new and creative ways to respond to long-standing social problems.
Accountability
All projects and programs supported by the Green Family Foundation must provide ongoing progress reports and final evaluation documenting the people served and funds allocated.

Green Space Miami is the Green Family Foundation Trust’s art space and platform for the discovery, promotion and documentation of artists, creatives, and cultures of the communities in Miami-Dade County.
The Green Family Foundation Trust has supported and collaborated with Miami´s museums, arts and education institutions since the early 90s. The Foundation provides funding and resources to programs that focus on Global Health & Development, Community Empowerment, Arts and Education. In 2020 Green Family Foundation President, Dr Kimberly Green, founded Green Space Miami as the Foundation´s first physical space, dedicated to Miami artists and an educational program focused on culture and heritage.
We provide opportunity and support for Miami artists. Through a year-round program of shows and events Green Space Miami elevates the artworks, ideas and stories of artists from the diverse, multilingual, and multicultural communities of Miami-Dade County.
